If you want someone to yell at you until you have six-pack abs, I'm not your person.

But if you ARE interested in learning how to improve your functional fitness and mindset, and you want some guidance and accountability along the way, read on!

My mission is to train both the body and mind so you can feel grounded, confident, and strong!

I used to be a quitter - fitness and health routines, hobbies, you name it. I had next to no self-confidence or motivation, I procrastinated on almost everything, and was jealous of people who had what I wanted.


I met the right people at the right time though! With some perseverance and lucky breaks, I now love who I am and feel incredibly passionate about helping others feel their best too.


If you're ready to take some new steps forward but aren't sure how to do it, I'm here to help you figure it out!

I work really well with folks who want to:


  • Bust through conflicting information to find what's right for your body.


  • Get away from depending on numbers to tell you how to feel - I do not weigh or measure bodies, nor do I prescribe calories. Instead I focus on restoring the mind-body connection and personal intuition.


  • Let go of the complicated workouts and fad diets, and replace them with simple and functional strategies.


  • Create a personalized workout routine and habits that are effective, efficient, and sustainable for you.


  • Stop trying for the false promises of "perfection," and instead work steadily at daily imperfect action!


Most importantly though...


  • I love working with folks who want to challenge limiting beliefs, be curious, and feel strong in both mind and body!

A little more about training with me:

Why did I become a personal trainer?

Because I love to connect people with empowering ideas and skills so they can feel grounded, confident, and capable!


I don't believe in fitness solely for its own sake, but rather as a way for us to more thoroughly enjoy everything that happens outside of the gym.


For me, working out has been a helpful tool that has allowed me to take better advantage of everything in my life, from my work to personal relationships to my favourite activities and most important life goals.


If all you want is six-pack abs, I may not be your person. But if you want to improve your physical AND mental well-being, I'd love to work with you!

What's my methodology?

I work with the body, instead of fighting against it!


Your goals may include losing weight, gaining muscle, getting stronger, becoming more flexible, improving balance, or healing pain and injuries.


You may want more self-confidence, better energy, to relieve stress, to sleep better, to feel at-home in your body, to feel sexy, or to age well.


All of these things can be achieved by learning how to listen to what the body needs in order to make these goals happen, instead of just demanding that it change and getting frustrated when it doesn't happen the way you want.


This isn't just some hippy-dippy philosophy, this is the reality that the flashier sides of the fitness industry tend to ignore, causing a lot of injuries and dysfunction.


We all have an inherent mind/body connection, and through working out we can strengthen that connection and unleash our full potential, no matter what that looks like for you!

What does training with me include?

  •  Building a strong foundation and understanding the 7 Primal Movements (they're like the primary colours for painting - they make up every exercise you'll ever do!)


  • Progressive Adaptation - gradually layering on successes instead of going all-or-nothing and getting overwhelmed or injured.


  • Accountability - advance scheduling to keep you on track and weekly check-ins to stay on track and make sure we're doing the right things!


  • Customized workout plans that suit YOUR body and goals.


  • Coaching that challenges you to grow while staying respectful of boundaries.


  • Mindfulness training that helps you find your motivation and keep it going strong!


  • Bonuses like random facts and terrible puns. ;)

What does training with me NOT include?

I never weigh my clients, or take their measurements. (Unless you need help buying clothes online!) 


The reason for this is: far too many times we start feeling stronger and more confident and generally healthier, then the scale or tape measure doesn't show numbers that we expect to see, and we allow the arbitrary measurement to destroy the good feelings that we were actually experiencing.
